About Me

Mrs T in CTA concerned Wife, Mother, Grandmother who is teaching & exhorting that it's not ok to sit home & complain about the loss of freedoms
"We the People" means that you & I also have to do our part in being active for our government to actually work. So I'm trying to lead by example in getting out of my comfort zone & getting ACTIVE in the ways I am able with limited ability to get out & about. Are you doing your part?

I was a child back in those days & Recall my Dad taking the car out to get it filled one day & the next day he’d bring our beat up van to get filled

The Odd - Even fill up days was one thing that was done to help curb the long long gas lines that were happening due to the oil embargo

The Energy Crisis under President Carter saw the increase in the days under Daylight Savings Time, the lowering of the thermostats in winter & the air-conditioning was dialed back for those who had them

Another gas savings idea that came into being during that time period was the 55 Saves Lives campaign to encourage people to drive slower as well as save gas & that stayed with us until recent years when they allowed the speed limits to go up to 65
